Experience the thrills and spills of the world’s largest rodeo
RodeoHouston was first held back in 1932.
Back then it was known as the Houston Fat Stock Show and Livestock Exposition.
90-odd years later it has grown to be the largest rodeo in the world.
30,000 cattle and horses compete in the livestock exposition.
Hundreds of competitors descend from all over Texas and the world to take part in the rodeo.
And over 2 million spectators flock through the gates.
It’s brash. It’s got swagger. But what else would you expect?
This is Texas.
Everything is bigger and better.
This year, RodeoHouston will take place at NRG Park between 28 February and 19 March.
As well as steer roping, bronc riding and barrel racing, there’s plenty of excitement away from the arena as well.
There’s a carnival offering all the fun of the fair. And a world BBQ championship where steaks are judged on appearance, tenderness and taste.
There’s even a ‘Go Texan Day’ where visitors are encouraged to wear their best jeans, cowboy boots and cowboy hats and join in the celebration.
Once the dust has settled from the last competition of the day, some of the biggest names in country music come out to play.
How big? Chris Stapleton, Jason Aldean and Brad Paisley big.
Yee Ha!
